Outdoor Learning in Derbyshire
At TRIBE, we invite you and your class to experience an immersive and nature-based learning adventure
On a TRIBE Schools course, the young adventurers will be busy exploring, understanding, and working in harmony with the natural world. They will learn first-hand the importance and interconnectedness of ecosystems, and the many uses for plants and trees that help make it vital that they are protected. Most of all, TRIBE adventurers will find new ways of enjoying and learning in the great outdoors, increase their confidence and problem solving skills, and develop strong friendships in the absence of modern distractions.
Testimonials
“We had an absolutely brilliant day at TRIBE learning lots of fantastic skills. The children returned home buzzing from their day. The children could talk about what they had learned and lots of children said it was one of their best activities we have done this year. It was very well planned and everything was thought of. We will definitely be back!”

“We contacted TRIBE to see if they could offer support to a pupil at our school who was struggling with full-time education within a mainstream setting. The meeting that followed clearly set out the activities that they could offer and outlined the ethos and the ‘rules’ of TRIBE based around respect for others, themselves and the environment.
Our pupil has been attending twice a week and absolutely loves it! The woodland setting is beautiful and all safeguarding and safety aspects have been clearly thought out and planned for. A visit to the site showed children of mixed ages working together and learning a range of new skills. Each day is different, with a wide range of outdoor activities and learning opportunities.
After attending TRIBE for a few weeks we have already noticed a difference in our pupils behaviour – they are more engaged, can listen better to instructions and able to attend class more often. They seem happier and calmer and therefore more able to learn and make progress in their learning.
I have been impressed with TRIBE in many ways – their ethos, the effective communication between parent, home and school and their passion in supporting children to learn in an outdoor setting has been impressive. I would recommend other schools to find out about all they can offer and book a meeting and visit.”
