We had a fantastic afternoon at Tribe. We were a family of 4 adults, celebrating our son's 21st birthday and were able to have a bespoke experience just for our group. We made our way from the carpark through the woodland to a lovely area where there was a firepit, some seating, shelter etc. It was so peaceful and felt like we were really out in the wild. Peter was so friendly and knowledgeable. We learnt how to light a fire, tie knots, carve wood and put up shelter, as well as a fun problem solving task. There was tea and coffee to keep us warm and toilet facilities. We would recommend Tribe to anyone looking for an amazing bushcraft experience! - 21/10/24

Thank you to Pete, Jackie and Alison for making our son's 8th birthday party so amazing! The twelve of them were a lively bunch (!) but all of them had four hours of brilliant fun in the beautiful woodland, and learnt a lot from you too! Thoroughly recommended! - 24/07/24

It was amazing. I went here as part of an event organised by my university society, and what an experience it was. We learned how to make fire out of nothing and how to carve different things out of wood to not only survive in the wild but actually thrive there. I highly recommend this place to anyone who likes nature and likes to learn how to do things with his own hands. - 29/04/24

I went to tribe this weekend with some friends, I had an amazing time overall and learnt a lot about bushcraft and survival. Pete was an excellent teacher and was very patient , he made the lessons very fun and intriguing and made sure we handled everything in a safe manner. The food we were brought for lunch was excellent quality, more than enough to go round. It was much needed for the all the activities we did. Overall I highly recommend coming here, I will be returning for the overnight stay. - 29/04/24

I attended Tribe as part of my role in a mainstream school. Wow - what a place and what an experience for both children and adults! The natural environment and camp is just such a special and enthralling place to be. The opportunities to learn and develop skills and roles are endless. The instructors' levels of knowledge, passion and expertise are mind-blowing and I left with so much more understanding of things in the natural world. The ethos of Tribe instills values and respect. I would highly recommend Tribe and will be going back with both my own child and my own friends! - 25/04/24

Have we just had the most wonderful morning? I think we have! This is a hidden gem of fun and learning. As we arrived at the camp the fire was lit creating an enchanting atmosphere and warmth amongst the winter chill, there Peter met us with a friendly welcome. The camp is incredibly beautiful, submerged within nature where all you can hear is the crackle of the camp fire, trickle of the stream and birds singing. Peter’s knowledge is engaging and his friendly and patient demeanour makes the whole process really enjoyable. We didn’t want the morning to end and I would have quite happily stayed for another couple of hours. If you want to do something different either alone or with family and friends this is a must. It’s very muddy mid winter so get your wellies on with an extra pair of socks, take some spare shoes, and go and grab a beer in the Angel after. We will be going back time and time again. Thank you so much Peter, we really did have an excellent time. - 27/02/24

A really great way to spend a Saturday morning with my grandson having fun and learning new skills in a lovely woodland setting. Pete passed on a lot of knowledge and by following his step by step instructions we learnt bushcraft skills to make our own wooden tent pegs and trap. Perfect activity for older children 8+ and adults to do together. - 29/01/24

I attended the adult session as a birthday treat and it was a very interesting day. We learnt lots of different bushcraft techniques and Peter was so patient with us, showing us different ways to complete the tasks. The mud and the rain just added to the whole experience and didn't stop us getting the fire going. Super proud of us for that. I felt like a little kid on a mini adventure in the woods. Thank you Peter and team. - 19/11/23

A great home ed group! My kids have got so much out of this group. In my daughter’s words: “We have learnt a lot of skills such as knot tying, identifying animal trails and plants, making traps, woodcarving, fire-building, and making cool stuff like shoes and furniture”. It’s a beautiful setting, the kids are encouraged to use teamwork and be respectful to nature, whilst also appreciating how much it can offer them practically. The balance between activities and socialising/working together is spot on. They never get bored, but they always have time to enjoy being with their friends too. My kids have really enjoyed every single session and I hear little nuggets of information about what they’ve been learning throughout the week. - 19/11/23

Myself and my 2 sons went for our first time to the adults and family Saturday session. We all had a great time and left inspired and happy. Pete has excellent knowledge and skills. He's friendly and kept all participants engaged throughout. The camp is really well laid out and organised and the activities we did of shelter construction, knife skills (to make pegs for our shelter) and fire lighting were interesting and fun. Everyone was really friendly and we'll definitely be going back regularly. My eldest son will also be joining the next Home Ed 6 week course which is run regularly throughout the year. - 10/10/23

Just spent two fantastic days on the willow basket weaving workshop. Tuition was really good and got one to one when needed. Came away proud of what I've made and with a real sense of achievement. Great setting in the woods. On the hottest day of the year, so far, under the trees was the perfect place to be. - 10/07/23

I've been to 3 workshops now, learning a number of different bushcraft skills. I have found the instructors very informative and friendly. I have really enjoyed all the sessions and am planning to attend regularly. During the 1st workshop I made a buck saw (see below). I would recommend TRIBE to anyone who is interested in learning Bushcraft skills in a friendly and welcoming environment. - 10/06/23

My 8 year old has attended 2 tribe bushcraft sessions this Easter and has really enjoyed them both. He was very excited to tell me all about his new knowledge on edible plants. He walked out of the woods covered in mud, with a huge smile and told me he was tired!! The sign of a great day. Booking the sessions was really easy and communication from Peter was really clear about drop off/pick up and what was needed for the day. He can’t wait for the next holidays - 10/05/23

My 8 year old attended a holiday session today. He's buzzing and has had an amazing time. He is always very reluctant to try anything new but he has really loved it. He's tried wild plants, seen animal tracks, built a fire, learnt about new plants and trees, made a bracelet. Thank you so much for giving him such a wonderful experience. He will be back! - 10/04/23

I started attending Tribe over a year ago looking for a hobby. I attend the Saturday sessions and these have so far included using knives safely, fire starting, foraging, building an oven to fire clay plus many other skills and projects. Session are led by Pete and Alison who are very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I enjoyed it so much that I took my 10 year old granddaughter along. She thoroughly enjoys her time in the woods learning new skills. - 10/03/23

Tribe hosted a Willow Wreath making event at my church. They made it so easy. Great communication pre event so we could ensure that it was well prepared. The evening was fabulous. Everyone had a great time and got to take home a wreath. Peter and Alison clearly love what they do and are very skilled. They are also able to share that passion and skill with others in a supportive and encouraging manner. - 04/03/23

We had a wonderful afternoon in the camp in the woods making willow wreaths with Peter and Alison. They were very welcoming and gave us clear instructions on how to construct our wreath. There were lots of lovely natural decorations to choose from and I was very pleased with my wreath. The site is well hidden so you feel that you are away from the hustle and bustle of life and connecting with nature for a few hours. The mulled grape juice and mince pies were a lovely treat and there's even a composting toilet! We want to try something else. - 10/12/22

Attended a willow winter wreath session with one of my friends. Run by a lovely team- very helpful, and in a really fantastic woodland setting. Composting loo on site with ingenious hand wash set up. Made a really nice natural winter wreath which I’ve hung on my front door and is still looking great nearly three weeks on! Had never worked with willow before but enjoyed shaping the wreath, found it more tricky adding the decorations- but that might have been due to the cold and very wet weather. Provided with some really tasty mulled grape juice and there was also a fire to warm up by. Hoping to return for more activities next year. - 19/11/22

I did the willow wreath workshop here in December, and absolutly loved it! Even though we had a particulary horrid and wet day, we were under cover for the workshop and around a campfire, so the rain didnt bother me much at all. We had plenty of time to make our wreathes, with great instruction and even time to have a chat, with mince pies and mulled grape juice. It was a very lovely experience, and I'll be back for more workshops here in the summer! - 19/11/22
