Threads of the Wild

Natural Fibre Course ‘Threads of the Wild’ at TRIBE

Join us at our beautiful woodland centre for a day, using bushcraft techniques to find, harvest, process and use natural materials on our natural fibre course ‘Threads of the Wild’. Recent evidence suggests that the earliest fibre was created by Neanderthals as long as 50,000 years ago. This ancient technology gave rise to cordage used to make string, rope, fishing lines and nets, containers and baskets, and importantly clothes. Join us on a journey of rediscovery as we show you the techniques of fibre preparation, which opened up the world to modern civilisation and exploration on our natural fibre course.

Whether you are completely new to bushcraft or have been practicing for a while, we’d love to welcome you. TRIBE is the perfect place to learn bushcraft and wilderness living skills

The TRIBE Bushcraft Centre is located in the heart of Holmesfield Park Wood. There is a cosy main camp area with a campfire area, seating, refreshments, compost toilets and registered first aiders.

IMPORTANT: Registration for this course closes ‘7 days’ before the course starts and for this course to run a minimum of 2 participants are required.
