In action
IN DEVELOPING ITS TEACHING SITES, DISCOVER TRIBE HAS ALREADY MINIMISED ITS ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT BY:
- Utilising thinnings from woodland management best practice operations in the construction of elements of the main camp areas.
- Repurposing and upcycling pallets and other safe construction waste products in the creation of our composting toilet system.
- Opting for a sustainable batch composting system for our woodland toilets and raw food waste, creating a closed-loop cycle whilst avoiding water wastage and chemical systems, and contributing to soil creation.
- Using biodegradable, natural soap products in our hand washing and kitchen areas; these contribute to our composting system, which assists in heat creation for the system.
